This 15 credit course covers topics such as Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) in healthcare with emphasis on Lean and Six Sigma concepts and methodologies, lean concepts and their applications in healthcare such as 5s, waste reduction, value stream mapping, and error proofing and the DMAIC process (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) to solve healthcare issues and advance CPI projects.
- Organizational Excellence Certificate. This 12 credit program focuses on the areas such as Quality and Performance Improvement in Healthcare, Operations Management in Healthcare Organizations, Healthcare Economics and Finance and Healthcare Project and Change management.
- Quality and Safety Management. This 12-credit program is designed for those seeking education and training focused on quality of care and patient safety for healthcare organizations across all settings. This concentration equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to sit for the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) exam, a highly respected credential in health care.
